I paint with acrylic on Belgian linen canvas, wood, or cotton canvas. I paint in layers and layers sometimes incorporating mica or ground glass. Each work of art is finished in an archival manner.
I am currently working on three series titled "What Do You Think," "For the Love of Flowers" and Mountains.
** Prints: I personally print and sign a very limited number of my pieces. The prints are created with archival inks and papers. Choose a print matted to 11" x 14" ready for YOU to drop in a standard frame $125
just the archival print; for those who collect or the designer who wants to choose the mat and frame for their decor; can be purchased individually or as a set.
"Garden Impressions" painting shown above. It is a framed 18" x 24" piece. Stop by the gallery for viewing.
The project started simply to help a local Girl Scout troop with a fund raiser. The group was raising money for an educational trip. I challenged the young ladies to collect blue bottles for which I would purchase. Let's just say they did well and I owned a lot of blue bottles.
Using recycled glass and art glass I create one of a kind miniature sculptures. The project is my calling as a working glass artist who is most passionate about recycling. I will continue the project for a lifetime.
I accept bottle donations. I can no longer purchase the bottles as the time it takes to clean, remove the labels, cut, grind, fuse into art is most labor intense.
*** If you purchase tea items from my shop in glass containers bring the rinsed glass back for a 25 cent refund so I can recycle the glass, please.***
I am forever building a miniature tea shop. I am currently working on one tiny tea shop in the gallery area, one in the sculpture garden and one in my studio. Three times the fun; hoping to complete the blue tea shop sometime in July.
The "Tiny Tea Shop" sculpture will feature aluminum, bamboo, fused glass, stained glass and recycled glass. Pieces and parts will consume my studio this summer. Feel free to ask about the progress.
The tiny tea shop in progress in my studio space is currently top secret; kidding, just not ready for discussion at this moment. Stayed tuned.
The picture above is my painting "Adult Dark." It's an ode to the Gregg Brown song with the same title. The art work is an 18" x 24" painted on wood with layers and layers of paint and mica ~ framed. $1200
